Exploring through Golden Lake's Nature Club

As the leaves change and the air turns crisp, students in kindergarten and grade 1 enrolled in Community Education’s Golden Lake Nature Club are learning how plants and animals get ready for winter. Why do some birds fly away while others stay? What happens to frogs, bugs, and trees as the temperatures drop? Through hands-on exploration, nature walks, games, and observation, students learn about the amazing things our plant and animal neighbors do as the seasons change and discover the magic happening in the woods. The after-school class is taught by Golden Lake Parent Meagan Bachmayer.
